Privacy Policy
As of June 2026
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is: Christian Koch, Berlin, Germany. Contact: info@devs.berlin.
2. Data collected
This website deliberately avoids extensive tracking. When you visit, the hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) records technically necessary data in server logs: anonymised IP address, date and time of access, requested resource, HTTP status code, referrer URL, and user agent. This data is processed to ensure operation and prevent abuse. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest).
3. Cookies
Only technically necessary cookies or local storage entries are set (e.g. to store your theme preference and cookie banner confirmation in your browser's localStorage). This data does not leave your device.
Optional analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Hotjar, Omniconvert) are loaded only after your explicit consent in the cookie banner. Without consent they remain disabled. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing stored site data in your browser (localStorage key codek-cookie-consent-v1).
4. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. A Data Processing Addendum has been concluded with Vercel. Vercel operates EU edge regions, so requests from Europe are generally served within the EU.
5. External links
This website links to external content (LinkedIn, GitHub, Credly, Coursera, etc.). The respective operators are responsible for the content and privacy practices of those third-party sites. When you click a link, the usual connection data is transmitted to the respective provider.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21) at any time. You can send requests informally to info@devs.berlin. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — in Berlin: Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
7. Security
Transmission is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS). Appropriate technical and organisational measures pursuant to Art. 32 GDPR are taken to protect data against loss, manipulation, and unauthorised access.
